Growing Managed Services Provider / Solutions Integrator is looking for a Networking Systems Engineer that is looking to grow their knowledge and experience in the areas of Cisco networking infrastructure and advanced Collaboration suite of products. Successful candidate will work as part of a team to assist our Cisco Collaboration Practice in the design, implementation and ongoing support of their LAN and WAN network infrastructures as well as the Cisco Collaboration Suite of products including Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Contact Center, Jabber/Presence, Mass Notification, and Telepresence conferencing solutions.
Participates in the implementation and ongoing support activities associated with the delivery of Cisco advanced networking and collaboration solutions at customer locations within Western NY region.
Participates in the deployment of voice and advanced collaboration solutions including carrier services, call control, contact center, voicemail, mass notification, instant messaging/chat and video conferencing solutions.
Participates in the deployment of network switching, routing, firewall and wireless solutions from Cisco as well as HP.
Participates in delivery of customer end user training on Cisco Advanced Collaboration technologies including call control, contact center, voicemail, mass notification, instant messaging/chat and video solutions as needed.
Ensures compliance with company technical and quality standards/procedures as well as maintaining the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
Escalates problems within defined parameters.
Maintains timely and effective communication with team members and customer contacts.
Completes required documentation for all Work Orders or projects and provide updates in real time.
Requirement for some after hours and weekend installations as scheduled.
To Qualify For This Role:
A minimum 3 years of experience in a Cisco Associate or Cisco Network Engineer role.
A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
Experience with networking: Switches, Routers, Servers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, VoIP, QoS, MPLS and Wireless
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and VMware virtualization technologies is a plus.
Shall have experience with day-to-day operational support of Cisco networking infrastructure including TAC case management.
Must be willing to learn on the job and expand knowledge of implementing and supporting Cisco Collaboration products including Call Manger, Contact Center, Presence/Chat, video conferencing, and mass notification solutions.
Other Qualifications and Certifications:
Must have great people skills– this is a team-orientated position, in an IT solutions-provider environment.
1-2 years of strong customer service experience with excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of technical, managerial and department clients.
Strong analytical skills, with 2 to 4 years of telecommunication / telephony experience preferred.
Possess a thorough knowledge of voice and data networking architectures.
Must be detail oriented.
Excellent PC knowledge /experience with strong MS Office (Excel, Word etc.) and strong organizational abilities
