Our Service Assurance Engineers are the “fire fighters” of our organization. They are called upon to provide a variety of services to our customers, including quick problem resolution, server installations/de-installs or upgrades across many current technologies.
Challenges and Results:
Our Systems Engineers must have a strong technical background and good communication skills to deal effectively with our client base. One of the keys to your success will be your ability to listen carefully to the customer, understand the issues and implement the right solution.
Actions and Results:
Resolve complex technical problems on new and existing systems including install and upgrades of Server Hardware, Software, Storage and Networking products.
Ensures compliance with company technical and quality standards/procedures as well as the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
Escalates problems within parameters.
Develops and maintains client relationships and identifies opportunities to extend existing agreements.
Communicate sales leads.
Maintains effective communication with internal Call Dispatchers and with customers.
Completes required documentation for all Work Orders and provide updates in real time.
Work to completion.
Required to do some after hours and weekend installs as scheduled during maintenance window.
Will be required to be “On Call” at scheduled times.
2 to 5 years relevant experience
A+ and Server + Certification required, HP and Cisco Certification are Plus
In-depth knowledge Server Operating Systems and Administration of Windows 2008 to 2012
Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
In depth knowledge of HP, Dell and IBM Server Hardware, including Blade Servers and rack server configurations.
In depth knowledge of MS and hardware Clustering
Basic understanding of Networking Infrastructure equipment
Provide Server, Storage and Network technical support
Knowledge of various backup solutions, i.e. Symantec Backup Exec
Basic knowledge of network utility tools
Ability to communicate effectively with customers & internal staff
