Job Summary Essential Functions:

The Human Resources Manager will assist in developing and implementing personnel policies, procedures, and practices consistent with the overall goals of the company and will provide on‑going support and expertise in all areas of Human Resources.


Job Responsibilities:  In this role, the Human Resources Manager will assist the Director of Human Resources in planning, implementing, and administering the HR activities and operations of the Human Resources Department including:

  • Payroll processing
  • Employee relations
  • Training, recruiting
  • Compensation
  • Benefits plan administration, including managing the 401(k) and retirement benefit, assisting in benefit audits and completion of IRS Form 5500 filing, and compliance with employment regulations and Federal and State laws.


This role will also serve as the back up to the Payroll Administrator and will become fully qualified to complete the payroll and produce required reports.

Communication Skills: Good written (grammar and editing) and verbal communication skills are a must for this position. Excellent customer service and follow-up skills. Possess the ability to convey complicated information in a simplified format.

Analytical Skills: Be adept with data and analysis. Possess the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation.

MS Office: Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Adaptability and aptitude in learning other systems. Experience with payroll process and time and attendance systems. Experience with Paychex Flex Enterprise desired.



Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. Or a combination of education and applicable HR experience. HR certification such as PHR is a plus.


Experience: Five years of experience in Human Resources with at least three years at the HR Manager level.


Physical Demands:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Reads printed materials or from a computer monitor. Requires dexterity and data entry skills.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Ability to drive to different work locations/offices.
