Recertifying for SOC 2 recommitting to client confidence.
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and the perfect time to talk about Synergy IT Solutions renewing our commitment to the security and efficiency of our clients. While we already maintain the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 designation, a third-party verification of operational effectiveness, we’re once again going through the long and involved process of being recertified. We want to ensure that our clients continue to have complete confidence in Synergy’s management of their critical data and systems.
Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 focuses on a business’s reporting controls as they relate to the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of a system. The Trust Service Principles which SOC 2 is based on are modeled around four broad areas: Policies, Communications, Procedures, and Monitoring. You can learn more about SOC 2 compliance on the AICIPA’s SSAE website.
Of course, while objective verification from an outside source is always welcome, Synergy has always been—and will continue to be—committed to providing the highest levels of service, performance, and security for all of our clients. That’s why we put such a strong emphasis on following industry best practices and engage in ongoing training and technology upgrades—whatever it takes to help give our clients peace of mind.
