Derek has been the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Synergy since 2021. As the CTO, one of his primary responsibilities is continuously monitoring the technology environment to ensure the equipment and solutions we are recommending to clients are best in breed and will meet their current and future needs.

His team, IT Advisors, regularly conducts assessments of current and potential clients to make recommendations on technology strategy, develop implementation approaches and timelines and manage those projects through to completion. He is a firm believer that strong partnerships produce exceptional outcomes and creative minds inspire great solutions.

Prior to joining Synergy, Derek spent decades in the technology solutions industry in Rochester, New York. He has expansive knowledge of the emerging trends in areas such as Infrastructure as a Service, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and unified collaboration. As a native to Central New York, Derek has deep roots in the business community and actively serves his local community of Webster, NY.
